As with most ecchi and smut hentai, the means are questionable, the graphics are fulfilling, and by the end of the third chapter, you’re left wondering if you’re a good person for wanting to read the rest of the manga.
So, here we are. Well past the third chapter and openly admitting there isn’t a ton of character development here. Well, maybe. There is a story in the midst of the titillation, if you’re willing to wait for it. It’s very much a fulfillment manga per chapter. It will play to the het/pan/bi audiences out there.
The overarching theme outside of *lewd scenes* has to deal with a hero who conquered a demon lord, finds out his best friend has taken over the demon lord’s old dungeon, and they’re pursuit together to make it a safe, if sketchy, base of operations to live in seeing as people fear those who have great power. The premise stretching to powering the magical energy of the dungeon through negative emotions. Neither are much into killing folk. But both are alright with shame and humiliation in the kinky variety for generating those emotions. And so the manga continues as adventures entire the dungeon, traps are set and they are caught, naughty things are achieved, and the dungeon slowly gets better as negative emotions accumulate. There are princesses to rescue, and villains to humiliate.
Falls into non-con, so for those who aren’t into stories like that, here’s your bright red flag.
But what propels the story outside of carnal entertainment? How about giving you characters you can really get behind hating on. Nice battle sequences for that. And in general giving you a sense of questioning yourself about every 20 pages.
Does the art style suffer from cat-girl face? A bit. The line work is clean, the backgrounds are formulated nicely. It’s nothing I could call revolutionary or innovative in terms of aesthetics. Something about a solid meat and potatoes ecchi though. It’s got a touch of spicy for the visuals, but it’s not overstretching the imagination or trying to be fine art. It knows what it’s about and delivers it.
